Episode 13: Digging Deep

In which Patrick puns, Ryan runs (his mouth), Charlie contemplates and Justin bothers to show up.

00:00:00 The Paleopals begin with bickering and confusion. Who’s there? What’s being drunk? (drinked? drankened?) Who wants to get a word in edgewise?

00:05:31 Then they talk to the Acid Queen about ocean acidification. She says something interesting, Ryan says something awkward in response. The usual.

00:30:22 Trailer Trash Talk steps inside the Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus this week. It’s confusing place, and Gilliam’s luck sends the show off the rails but can the guys recover and make sense of it enough to buy stock?

00:47:23 After a trip to the Imaginarium the guys’ll want a stiff drink, but the one they’re talking about requires a bit of effort.

00:59:15 Self-correcting listener feedback from Jameson, just like Science… sort of.

I’m a new listener and although on the verge of retirering, your just fun to listen too. It all started with me needing a new organizer which ended up with the purchase of an I-Touch. I like science and was trying to get NPR’s Science Friday loaded but did it wrong and got “Science Sort-Of” instead. I love the program, craft porter beers and single malt scotch.
Love to hear a topic on Hydrogen powered autos and if it can ever replace gasoline in cars.

    Hi all!
Love the show, just started listening and I am listening to all the back episodes. I’d love to hear more from “Acid Queen.” I’m actually doing my thesis on the idea that ocean acidification may be a cause of the End-Triassic mass extinction (as coral reefs were an important victim). Anyway, Acid Queen was awesome and you so need a token female anyways (though it might be yet another way in which you’d be too much like Skeptic’s guide).
