Episode 48 – No Frills

This week on the podcast…

00:07:36 – Jack Horner and Co. have taken our Triceratops but the Paleopals are arguing to get them back!

00: 23: 43 – Dinosaurs may not be expendable but your favorite 80’s action stars are in this week’s Trailer Trash Talk for The Expendables!

00:31:53 – Charlie sounds like a Bond villain as he explains possible plans to geo-engineer the Earth!

00:57:20 – Ben may not drink alcohol but he has no problem recommending a quick drink to help superconductors function better.

01:04:18 – PaleoPOW: Canada steps up it’s game with a all new all northern iTunes review. Patrick thanks COED magazine for some unexpected publicity. Charlie finds out how much we confuse the older generation. And Ryan revisits an old friend, an old joke, and an even older computer program.

  • [...] This post was mentioned on Twitter by Benjamin tippett, Science… sort of. Science… sort of said: Episode 48 is "No Frills" It's about dinosaurs, alcohol & space mirrors. What more do you people want?! http://bit.ly/9uWKxW [...]

  • [...] interview them. Wrong; we made the same blunder that many popular press outlets did in our podcast episode 48 – No Frills. When it came down to it, we were rushed to put a show together and had already read too many pop [...]

Excellent episode guys. I love the episodes with dinosaur or other prehistoric animal news.

A word of caution next time you go on a cross-country search for good liquor. Regulated items like that may have a limit that can be held when you cross state lines. Look in to state laws, just to be safe. I’d hate to hear an episode From in Bars to Behind Bars.

Us old guys are gonna make you young punks pay for mostly shorting the Expendables. I just deleted a ‘back in my day’ rant, because it made me sound like I was 83, not 33. Everyone *MY* age is excited about this. I think most of these guys were already over the hill before you guys were really thinking about it, while they were ALL at the tops of their respective games while we were growing up. Seeing them together really is a dream cast, and the movie might even suck, but it will still be awesome. AWESOME!
As for what I was drinking, nothing during the show, but beforehand, 2 bottles of Flying Dog IPA, one bottle of Prohibition Ale (from San Francisco? Not sure…), and 2 cans of Porkslap Pale Ale that was surprisingly good.

  • Patrick says:

  • [...] mess. I know we at least mention superconductors in alcohol (as explained by ben while sober in Episode 48) and some study strategies to help you ace that upcoming [...]
