00:25:29 – Trailer Trash Talk this week celebrates the downfall of Joaquin Phoenix in the new documentary I’m Still Here, which may in fact be a mockumentary but no one is really sure.
00:35:24 – Patrick shoehorns his PaleoPOW, a voicemail from Jay in Ferndale, WA, into a new study about tetrapod diversity over time.
01:01:07 – PaleoPOW is stunted this week because Ryan and Patrick were trying to streamline things but Charlie still have some great feedback in the form of a bumper stick the Paleopals called for in a previous show provided by BabbleTrish and on display in the Brachiolope Gallery.

Great episode, guys! I’m really glad i managed to watch the trailer for I’m Still Here before hearing you talk about it. I personally love(d) Joaquin Phoenix, and probably would have been annoyed at your flippant dismissal of his career..but having seen what cannot be unseen, like you, I really hope its all an elaborate Kaufmann-esque prank. Ugh…
Excellent breakdown on the article dealing with the effects of alcohol. The pop headlines on that topic are really starting to get old, and your discussion of all the convoluted intersecting effects and affects was really cool. Happy first birthday, Science…Sort Of! (And yes, I’m waiting for the documentary about Justin’s breakdown.)

I heard a rumor Justin was taking time off his podcasting career to pursue science. I mean picture Justin as the lead author of a PNAS article—it’ll never happen. Totally ridiculous, only a matter of time before his charade is revealed and he comes back to podcast land.
