About Charlie
Howdy, I’m a PhD student in Earth and PLANETARY Sciences department at the University of California, Santa Cruz. I’m convinced that Mars is the 2nd best planet. You might not think it looking at its old cold dried up corpse, but Mars had rivers, lakes and maybe even life some 3,900,000,000 years ago. As a physicist I look for first-order processes and ask, ‘what are my hypotheses; what tools should I use; do observations agree with the hypotheses; and just how many semicolons can I use in run-on sentence?’ Other than science, I love music and I play the piano and guitar half-bad while sipping on hoppy Pacific Northwest ales or quirky Belgium brews.

This weather station is rad. It links to your wifi router and automatically logs your realtime weather data at weatherunderground.com with all of the other personal stations worldwide. My favorite personal weather station I’ve seen at wunderground: “Even the weather’s hip” -Mission District, San Francisco
